No, 2x+7 is not equal to 3x+1.

The value of 2x+7 is 27, where as value of 3x+1 is 28, which is one more than tha value of 2x+7. So the correct equation is.

\begin{gathered} 2x+7=3x+1-1 \\ 2x+7=3x \end{gathered}

Hence it can be said that,

2x+7\\e3x+1
