In a species of fish, red scales (RR) and yellow scales (YY) are codominant. When a fish has the hybrid genotype, it has a patchwork of red and yellow scales. Complete a Punnett square to breed a patchwork fish with a fish that only has red scales. Then answer the questions below.a. What is the probability of having fish with red scales?b. What is the probability of having fish with patchwork scales?

Hybrid genotypes is heterozygous where it carries two different alleles at a genetic position. In the given scenario, a cross of RRand YY will produce the following offspring:

RY - 100 % probability of patchwork scales having red and yellow scales

R - 50% probability of red scales

Y - 50% probability of yellow scales

If the cross will be between a patchwork fish, the offspring will be:

RR -25%

RY -50%

YY-25%

The probability of red scales is 25%. The probability of patchwork scales is 50%.
