The area of a circle given radius r is
A = πr²

The diameter is given as 20m so radius = diameter/w = 20/2 = 10m

Part b

We are asked to provide an estimate of the number of bags required to seed the garden by rounding to 1 significant figure

314 estimate to 1 significant figure = 300

58 estimate to 1 significant figure = 60

Estimate of number of bags = 300/60 = 5 (Answer b)

Part c
To determine if the estimate is over or under let's calculate the actual number of bags required.

= 314/58 ≈ 5.41

Our estimate of 5 bags is below the true requirement of 5.41 bags
