DNA, chromosomes, and genes are the genetic material that define each and every organism. genes are traits that you may or may not inherit. chromosomes are x or y-shaped (things) that can determine if you are male or female and are affected by trisomy 21 or other genetic disorders, DNA is the script of all the genes that will determine what an organism will physically appear as; as well as what disorders or diseases they may inherit.
