Given:

\sin\theta=0.47
0<\theta<90

Find-:

The value of

\cos\theta

Explanation-:

Use trignomertic formula:

\sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta=1

So the value is:

\begin{gathered} \sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta=1 \\ \\ \cos^2\theta=1-\sin^2\theta \\ \\ \cos\theta=√(1-\sin^2\theta) \end{gathered}

Given value of sin is:

\begin{gathered} \sin\theta=0.47 \\ \\ \sin^2\theta=(0.47)^2 \\ \\ \sin^2\theta=0.2209 \end{gathered}

So, the value is:

\begin{gathered} \cos\theta=√(1-\sin^2\theta) \\ \\ \cos\theta=√(1-0.2209) \\ \\ \cos\theta=√(0.7791) \\ \\ \cos\theta=0.883 \end{gathered}

So, the value is 0.883
