Given the function


f(x)=-4x^2-7x+4

You have to calculate f(x=-7). To do so you have to replace the x terms in the variable by -7 and solve:


\begin{gathered} f(-7)=-4(-7)^2-7(-7)+4 \\ f(-7)=-4(49)+49+4 \\ f(-7)=-196+49+4 \\ f(-7)=-143 \end{gathered}
