Santa Claus has a circular swimming pool with a diameter of 20 feet. He needs to know the area of the bottom of the pool so that he can find out how much paint to buy for it. What is the approximate area?

The formula to calculate the area of a circle is:


A=\pi r^2

Where r is the raidus. Remember that the radius is one half of the diameter.

Thereby, the area of the bottom of the pool is:
