answer

24b + 34c = 99 ------------------ equation 1

35b + 29c = 113.50 --------------- equation 2

Let b = brownies

Let c = cookies

Sam sold a total 24 brownies and 34 cookies and make $99

This implies that the total amount made by sam = number of cookies sold x brownies + number of brownies sold x cookies

24 x b + 34 x c = 99

24b + 34c = 99 --------------- equation 1

For Jules

Jules sold a total 35 brownies and 29 cookies and make $113.50

35 x b + 29 x c = 113.50

35b + 29c = 113.50 --------- equation 2

The system of equations is written as

24b + 34c = 99 ------------------ equation 1

35b + 29c = 113.50 --------------- equation 2
