1) Let's check that by solving it

2(h+1) = 5h – 7 Distribute the factor

2h +2 = 5h -7 Subtract 2 from both sides

2h -5h = -7 -2 Combine like terms

-3h= -9

3h=9 Divide both sides by 3

h=3

This equation has one solution. h=3
