pos A statistics professor plans classes so carefully that the lengths of her classes are uniformly distributed between 46.0 and 56.0 minutes. Find the probability that a given class period runs between 50.5 and 51.25 minutes. Find the probability of selecting a class that runs between 50.5 and 51.25 minutes. (Round to three decimal places as needed.) Enter your answer in the answer box,

Uniform distribution: a flat distribution that has the same probability density for every number.

This distribution runs from 46 to 56

Range = 56-46 = 10

The density is 1/10 = 0.1

10 x 0.1 = 1

Multiply the range between the numbers asked, by the probability density:

51.25-50.5 = 0.75

0.75 x 0.1 = 0.075

Answer: 0.075
