Answer:

y = 4x - 2

Explanation:

→ First find the gradient

(x2-x1)/(y2-y1) =(30-2)/(8-1) = 4

→ Put into y = mx + c format

y = 4x + c

→ Substitute ( 1 , 2 ) into y = 4x + c

2 = 4 + c so c = -2

→ Rewrite into equation format

y = 4x - 2

Slope
= 30-2/8-1

= 28/7

= 4

Equation:
y - 2/x - 1 = 4

y - 2 = 4(x-1)

y - 2 = 4x - 4

y = 4x - 4 + 2

y = 4x - 2
