14-4\mleft(2k+4\mright)=-2\mleft(4-3k\mright)

We will use distributive property [ a(b + c) = ab+ac ] to expand and simplify >>>>


\begin{gathered} 14-4(2k+4)=-2(4-3k) \\ 14-8k-16=-8+6k \\ -2-8k=-8+6k \\ -2+8=6k+8k \\ 6=14k \\ k=(6)/(14) \\ k=(3)/(7) \end{gathered}
