If the phone call cost $25.79, how many minutes did the person talk.

recall that:

$1 = 100 cents

$25.79 will be 25.79 * 100

= 2579 cents.

So to get the minutes the person caled we have:

104 + 119(m - 1) + 95 = 2579

104 + 119m - 119 + 95 = 2579

119m + 80 = 2579

subtract 80 from both sides:

119m = 2579 - 80

119m = 2499

divide both sides by 119

m = 2499/119

m = 21

Therefore, the person talked for 21 minutes.
