(x, y) -----> (3x, 3y)

1) Assuming this is a Dilation centered at the origin. Then we can state:

Since the scale factor k=3, then all of the dimensions of the figure will be enlarged (since k >1) thrice.

2) So we can state this rule:

Dilation about the origin

Pre-image Scale factor Image

(x,y) k=3 (3x, 3y)

3) Hence, the answer is (x, y) -> (3x, 3y)
