Exponents

Initial explanation

We know that an exponent indicates how many times a number is multiplied by itself.

For example

a^4=a\cdot a\cdot a\cdot a

When the exponent of a number is 0, the result is always 1:

a^0=1

A

In a division of two numbers with the same base, the exponents are substracted:

(4^8)/(4^6)=4^(8-6)=4^2

Since

4² = 4 · 4 = 16

then

(4^8)/(4^6)=16

B

Taking into account the intial explanation:

16^0=1

C
