The slope of a line is given by:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Plugging the values of the points give we have that:

\begin{gathered} m=(-2-0)/(2-(-6)) \\ m=(-2)/(2+4) \\ m=-(2)/(8) \\ m=-(1)/(4) \end{gathered}

Hence the slope is -1/4.

From the graph we notice that the y-intercept is -1.5.

Therefore the answer is option C
