Here, we want to calculate the measure of the two sides

As we can see, what we have is the measure of the hypotenuse

It is the side that faces the right-angle and also it is the longest side

The triangle is a 45-90-45 triangle

The measure of the opposite and the adjacent are the same

The ratio of the sides are;


1\colon1\colon\sqrt[]{2}

We already have the root 2 part

So to get the value of the 1 ratio, we need to divide the hypotenuse by root 2

Mathematically, we have this as;


\frac{3\sqrt[]{2}}{\sqrt[]{2}\text{ }}\text{ = 3}
