we have the equation

q(x)=4x-(3+8x)/(5)=(5(4x)-(3+8x))/(5)=(20x-3-8x)/(5)=(12)/(5)x-(3)/(5)

so

q(x)=(12)/(5)x-(3)/(5)

The slope is

m=12/5

Find out the y-intercept (value of y when the value of x=0)

For x=0

\begin{gathered} q(x)=(12)/(5)(0)-(3)/(5) \\ \\ q(x)=-(3)/(5) \end{gathered}

therefore

The y-intercept is (0,-3/5)
