The form of the slope-point of the linear equation is

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

m is the slope of the line

(x1, y1) is a point on the line

The rule of the slope is

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(x1, y1) and (x2, y2) are two points on the line

The line passes through points (4, 5) and (-3, -1)

x1 = 4 and y = 5

x2 = -3 and y2 = -1

Substitute them in the rule of the slope to find it

m=(-1-5)/(-3-4)=(-6)/(-7)=(6)/(7)

Let us substitute it in the form of the equation above and use point (-3, -1)

\begin{gathered} y-(-1)=(6)/(7)(x--3) \\ y+1=(6)/(7)(x+3) \end{gathered}

The answer is D
