I have 100 grams of amalgam, 40grams is Ag, 35grams is Sn, and 25grams is Cu. What are the percentages of Ag, Sn, and Cu in amalgam?

Assuming the percentages asked are mass percentages, we have a total mass o 100 grams, so to calculate each percentage, we just need to calculate how much the mass of each component is with respect to 100g.

To do this, we simply divide the mass of the given component by the total mass and multiply by 100%.
