we know that

LN=LM+MN -----> by addition segment postulate

substitute the given values

6x=(4x+8)+27

solve for x

6x=4x+35

6x-4x=35

2x=35

x=17.5

Find the value of LM

LM=4x+8

substitute the value of x

LM=4(17.5)+8

LM=78
