Given:

y = 4/5x - 3

y = 4/5x + 1

Looking at the above equation, they both have the same coefficient of y and also the same slope but there intercepts are different.

If we are to subtract the second equation from the first equation, we will have

0 = -4.

The above statement is incorrect because 0 ≠ 4 .

Hence, we can now say the system of equations has no solutions from the above reasoning.
