Last year, a factory produced 126 widgets per day. After retooling, production increased to 189 widgets per day. What was the percent increase in productivity?.

Work Shown:

change = new - old = 189-126 = 63

percent increase = (change/old)*100%

percent increase = (63/126)*100%

percent increase = (0.50)*100%

percent increase = 50%

50% of 126 = 0.50*126 = 63

126+63 = 189
