Perimeter of small square: 24 cm

Perimeter = side lenght x 4

24 = Sl x 4

24/4 = SL

6cm = SL

ARea of a square = SL^2 = 6^2 = 36 cm^2

Larger square side lenght = 9 cm

Area = 9^2 = 81cm^2

Ratio of areas : 36/81 =4/9 = 4:9
