What did this student do incorrectly to find the percent change from 14 dollars to 10 dollars?

Answer:

I don't know what he did wrong, but to work out the percentage change, you do 10 ÷ 14, which gives you 0.71.

1 - 0.71 = 0.29

0.29 × 100 = 29% You multiply by 100 to get your percentage change value.

29% is the percentage change.
