Madelyn will factor the given expression by dividing each term by a common factor. 32xyz 20xy + 12x She wants to factor the expression using the terms' greatest common factor. Which one of the choices is equivalent to the given expression and uses the greatest common factor to re expression as a product of the GCF and the sum of the remaining factors of the three terms? A 2x. (16yz – 10y + 6) B 4x. (Syz + 5y +3) с 4x. (Syz – 5y +3) 4.(Sxyz 5xy + 3x)

You have the following expression:

32xyz - 20xy +12x

the greatest common factor of the previous expression is 4x. In fact, you have:

4x(8yz - 5y + 3)

where the terms inside the pranthesis are obtained by dividing each term of the original expression over the greatest common factor. When you expand the previous product, you obtain:

4x(8yz) - 4x(5y) + 4x(3) = 32xyz - 20xy + 12x

which is the original expression.

Hence, the factorized expression is:

c. 4x(8yz - 5y + 3)
