How do I find out why a is not the midpoint of WY-example-1

A point in any line segment can be considered a "midpoint" when it divides said segment in exact halves.

For A to be the Midpoint of WY then the segments WA and AY should have the same length.

As you know WA≠AY, so A is not the midpoint of WY.
