Let the other leg to be calculated be = Y

hypotenuse = 12cm

Opposite = 10

Adjacent = Y

Using Pythagoras Theorem

\begin{gathered} (Hyp)^2=(opp)^2+(Adj)^2 \\ 12^2=10^2+Y^2 \\ 144=100+Y^2 \\ 144-100=Y^2 \\ 44=Y^2 \\ Y^2\text{ = 44} \\ Y\text{ = }\sqrt[]{44\text{ }}\text{ = 6.633}\approx6.6 \end{gathered}
