Solve the compound inequality and give your answer in interval notation.

3(2x – 7) – 12 >= 12x- 75

OR

– 3x + 10 > – 5x – 6

Solution

For this case we can solve the inequalities on this way:

6x -21 -12 >= 12x -75

We can subtract 6x in both sides and we got:

-3 >= 6x -75

-6x >= -72

x<=12

5x-3x +10 >-6

2x > -6 -10

2x> -16

x> -8

And the solution would be:


(-8,12\rbrack
