Given that,

To find the length of the side (x) of the given right triangle.

From the figure we get that,

hypotenuse= root(8)

we know that,


\sin \theta=(opposite)/(hypotenuse)

opposite side=root (8)

Substituting this we get,


\sin 45=\frac{x}{\sqrt[]{8}}
\frac{1}{\sqrt[]{2}}=\frac{x}{\sqrt[]{8}}
x=\frac{\sqrt[]{8}}{\sqrt[]{2}}
x=\frac{\sqrt[]{4*2}}{\sqrt[]{2}}
x=\frac{2\sqrt[]{2}}{\sqrt[]{2}}
x=2

Answer is: x=2.
