A customer calls your landscaping business already knowing the total area of a circular garden they are going to have landscaped. The area of the garden is 67.3 yards”. For the work they are asking you to do, you need to calculate the radius. Remember to work the Area formula backwards to solve for the radius.

The formula for the area of a circle is

A=\pi\cdot r^2

solve the equation for the radius

\begin{gathered} A=\pi\cdot r^2 \\ (A)/(\pi)=r^2 \\ r=\sqrt[]{(A)/(\pi)} \end{gathered}

Replace the information given into the formula

\begin{gathered} r=\sqrt[]{(67.3)/(\pi)} \\ r\cong4.63 \end{gathered}

The radius of the garden is approximately 4.63 yards.
