the standard parabola equation is,

y = a(x-h)^2 + k

here (h, k) is the coordinates of the vertex,

we can write the given equation in this form,

y = 2 (x -0)^2 + 0

so, the coordinate of the vertex is (0, 0)

We will use two points on the left side of the y-axis. and right side also.

take x = 1 then y = 2 x^2

y = 2* (1)^2

y = 2

now point is (1 , 2)

take x = -1 then y = 2 x^2

y = 2* (-1)^2

y = 2

now point is (-1 , 2)

take x = 2 then y = 2 x^2

y = 2* (2)^2

y = 8

now point is (2 , 8)

take x = -2 then y = 2 x^2

y = 2* (-2)^2

y = 8

now point is (-2 , 8)

so the points are '

vertex (0,0)
