A 2.05 liter cube of zinc has a mass of 14623 grams. What is the density of Zn in g/cm3?

Remember that

The density is equal to divide the mass by the volume

D=m/V

we have

m=14,623 grams

V=2.05 liter

we have that

1 mL=1 cm^3

1 L=1,000 mL

so

2.05 L=2.05*1,000=2,050 mL=2,050 cm^3

substitute in the formula

D=14,623/2,050

D=7.1 g/cm3
