The area of a rectangle is given by

A=\text{width}*\text{ length}

So, in this case, you could take

Where

\begin{gathered} \text{ Width=5} \\ \text{ Length=2 + x + 3} \end{gathered}

Therefore,

\begin{gathered} A=5(2+x+3) \\ A=5(x+5) \\ A=25x+25 \end{gathered}
