In order to calculate the distance between two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), we can use the following formula:

d=\sqrt[]{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Then, using points (6, -1) and (9, -9), we have:

\begin{gathered} d=\sqrt[]{(9-6)^2+(-9-(-1))^2} \\ d=\sqrt[]{3^2+(-8)^2} \\ d=\sqrt[]{9+64} \\ d=\sqrt[]{73} \\ d=8.54 \end{gathered}

Therefore the distance between H and B is equal to 8.54 units.
