x-intercept: (9/10, 0) y-intercept (0,-3/2)

1) To find out the x-intercept of a linear function, simply plug into that y=0

-5x+3y=-4.5 Plug into that

-5x+3(0)=-4.5

-5x = -4.5 Divide both sides by -5

x =0.9 or 9/10

2) Let's rewrite the equation to the slope-intercept formula, to get the y-intercept:

-5x+3y=-4.5 Subtract 5x to both sides

3y = -4.5 +5x Divide both sides by 3

y= 5/3x -3/2

As we can see the independent term,-3/2 - is the y-intercept.

3) Hence, the answer is x-intercept: (9/10, 0) y-intercept (0,-3/2)
