What is the domain of the function f(x) = 2x - 3 when the range is (-9, -3,1} ?

the domain are the possible values of x

so

For f(x)=-9

substitute in the equation and solve for x

-9=2x-3

2x=-9+3

2x=-6

x=-3

For f(x)=-3

-3=2x-3

2x=-3+3

x=0

For f(x)=1

1=2x-3

2x=1+3

2x=4

x=2

therefore

the domain is

(-3,0,2)
