Which of the following statements is true for the system 2x - y = -3 andy = 4x - 12Select one:O a. (2,7) is a solution of one equation but not the other, so it is asolution of the systemO b. (2,7) is a solution of one equation but not the other, so it is not asolution of the systemO c. (2.7) is a solution of both equations, so it is a solution of thesystemO d. (2,7) is not a solution of either equation, so it is not a solutionto the system

2x - y = 3

y = 4x - 12

if x = 2, we got:

2*2 - y = 3, which implies y = 7

For second equation we got: y = 4*2 - 12 = -4

(2,7) is the solution of one equation, but not the other, so it is not a solution of the system (option b)
