-(7)/(13)+(6)/(5)

Notice that 13 and 5 are prime numbers; therefore, the minimum common divisor is 13*5=65. Thus, we can calculate that addition as shown below.

\begin{gathered} -(7)/(13)\cdot(5)/(5)+(6)/(5)\cdot(13)/(13)=-(35)/(65)+(78)/(65) \\ =(43)/(65) \end{gathered}

The answer is 43/65.

2)

(3)/(11)+(-(5)/(12))

Solve as shown below

\begin{gathered} (3)/(11)+(-(5)/(12)) \\ =(3)/(11)\cdot(12)/(12)+(-(5)/(12))\cdot(11)/(11) \\ =(36)/(132)+(-(55)/(132)) \\ =(36-55)/(132) \\ =(-19)/(132) \end{gathered}

The answer is -19/132
