To find the value of f(-2) we have to plug x=-2 in the expression for f, then:

\begin{gathered} f(-2)=3(-2)^2+4(-2)-6 \\ =3\cdot4-8-6 \\ =12-8-6 \\ =-2 \end{gathered}

Therefore, f(-2)=-2
