To get the value of y, we will apply the trigonometeric ratio

From the image given,

Opposite side = y

hypotenuse = 6

so we can then use the relation:

\sin \emptyset=(opposite)/(hypotenuse)

\emptyset=45^0

\sin 45=(y)/(6)

y=6\sin 45^0
y=6\text{ x}\frac{\sqrt[]{2}}{2}=3\sqrt[]{2}

The answer is 3 square root of 2
