The volume of the rectangular prism can be found multiplying all its dimentions:


V=\text{height}\cdot\text{width}\cdot\text{length}

If we replace the values of our question, we obtain that the volume is:


\begin{gathered} V=(8in)(5in)(9in) \\ V=360in^3 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the volume equals 360 cubic inches.
