Mr.H has 10 pounds of seafood and he plans on making small meals for His Theater Club. if each meal consist of 1/5 pounds of seafood, how many meals can Mr.H make?

50 meals.

1) Since Mr. H is going to divide those meals equally, we can write:


\begin{gathered} 10\text{ : }(1)/(5) \\ 10*(5)/(1)=50\text{ meals} \end{gathered}

To divide fractions we need to reciprocate the divisor, in this case, 1/5. As above shown. So

2) Mr. H can make 50 meals with 1/5 of a pound
