-1/2x+15 = -3
Let’s get rid of the fraction by multiplying both sides by the denominator (2)!
2(-1/2x+15) = (-3)2
Multiply! ^^
-x+30 = -6
Next, let’s isolate the variable (x)!
-x = -6 -30
Simplify! ^^
-x = -36
Negatives will cancel so....
x = 36

This is tough but you can Combine multiplied terms into a single fraction
Subtract
from both sides of the equation
Simplify
Multiply all terms by the same value to eliminate fraction denominators
Cancel multiplied terms that are in the denominator
Combine like terms
Multiply by 1
Multiply the numbers
