The first three terms of the sequence are;

9,4,-1

Here, we want to write the first three terms of the arithmetic sequence given the first term

We are already given the first term, so we are only going to write two more terms

We proceed with this as follows;

\begin{gathered} \text{If;} \\ A_(n+1)=A_n-5 \\ A_2=A_1\text{ - 5} \\ \text{but A}_1\text{ = 9} \\ A_{2_{}}=9-5=4 \\ A_3=A_2-5 \\ \text{but A}_2=\text{ 4} \\ A_3\text{ = 4-5} \\ A_3\text{ =}-1 \end{gathered}
