Given data:

* The force acting on the crate in the horizontal direction is 165 N.

* The displacement of the crate is 3.5 m.

Soluiton:

The work done by the worker is,

W=Fd\cos (\theta)

where W is the work done, F is the applied force, d is the displacement,

\text{and }\theta\text{ is the angle between force and displacement,}

As, both the force and displacement is in the horizontal direction.

Thus,

\theta=0^(\circ)

Substituting the known values in the work equation,

\begin{gathered} W=165*3.5*\cos (0^(\circ)) \\ W=577.5\text{ J} \end{gathered}

Thus, the work done by the worker on the crate is 577.5 joule.
