Step 1: Write out the equation

((1)/(8))^(2-2n)=16

Step 2: Simplify the written equation

\begin{gathered} ((1)/(8))^(2-2n)=16 \\ \text{ Therefore} \\ (2^(-3))^(2-2n)=2^4 \\ \text{Hence} \\ 2^(-6+6n)=2^4 \\ \text{Thus} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} -6+6n=4 \\ \text{add 6 to both sides to get} \\ -6+6+6n=4+6 \\ 6n=10 \\ \text{ Dividing both sides by 6, we have} \\ (6n)/(6)=(10)/(6) \\ n=(5)/(3) \end{gathered}

Hence, n = 5/3
