The final answer is 10

This is a question trying to test your knowledge of PEMDAS.

P = PARENTHESIS

E = EXPONENTIAL

M= MULTIPLICATION

D= DIVISION

A = ADDITION

S = SUBTRACTION

The order of priority for solving is given from top to bottom from Parenthesis all the way down to Subraction.

The question:

(5+2.4)-3^2+6^{}

Contains a Parenthesis so this is solved first.

It also contains 3 raised to power 2, which is Exponential meaning we shall do that next.

Let us now proceed to solving:

\begin{gathered} \text{Solving the Parenthesis first:} \\ (5+2.4)-3^2+6 \\ We\text{ must solve the multiplication in the parenthesis first} \\ \text{before solving the addition according to PEMDAS} \\ \\ 2.4=2*4=8 \\ (5+8)-3^2+6 \\ 13-3^2+6 \\ \\ \text{There is an exponential here so that takes priority} \\ 13-9+6=10 \end{gathered}

Therefore the final answer is 10
