Given:-

The geometric mean of two numbers is 8. one of the numbers is 2.

To find the other number.

So now we use the formula,


gm=\sqrt[]{xy}

So no we substitute the values. we get,


\begin{gathered} 8=\sqrt[]{2y} \\ 8^2=2y \\ 64=2y \\ 32=y \end{gathered}

So the other number is 32.
