Equation of A Line
There are several forms to express the equation of a line:
* Slope-intercept form:
y = mx + b
* Point-slope form:
y = m ( x - h) + k
* Standard form:
Ax + By = C
Where m is the slope of the line, b is the y-intercept, and (h, k) are the coordinates of one point of the line.
When the slope and the point are given, we use the point-slope form.
9
Point: (5, -9)
